WHAT IS A BREAST LIFT?

SURGICAL TECHNIQUE
Taking about 2 – 4 hours to complete, we perform a breast lift using intravenous anesthesia. The duration of this procedure depends on the severity of your condition.
Dr. Bali will select from the main two types of incision techniques, including the anchor (inverted-T) or straight line. After making the incision, any excess skin, tissue, or fat is carefully trimmed away. The remaining skin is tightened and the breasts are lifted so they appear younger-looking and healthier. In many cases, the size of the areola is reduced, which makes it look proportionate to the rest of the breast.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Compared to breast augmentation, recovery for breast lift surgery is more lengthy. After your surgery, you will wear a medical compression bra to reduce swelling. Additionally, there will be a small tube placed near the surgical area to help with excess draining that can sometimes occur after a breast lift. After your surgery, the swelling will decrease within about a week. You will receive detailed aftercare prior to surgery, that our staff will go over with you in great detail. This is to ensures your healing process goes as planned. After several months, your breasts will start to heal and look higher on your chest wall. Once your breasts have completely healed, they will look and feel perkier and natural.
