OUR INJECTION TECHNIQUE
Generally, dermal filler appointments only last around 15 – 30 minutes. The timing is based on a couple of things, including the formula type and the treatment area. No matter the type of product, we will start by cleaning your face and marking the injection sites. To decrease discomfort throughout the procedure, some dermal fillers contain a local anesthetic. If the formula doesn’t have lidocaine and you prefer a numbing cream, we can apply it before your injections. After most dermal filler sessions, you can continue your normal routine, but you should avoid strenuous activity for a day.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Depending on the type of dermal filler we used, you may experience slight bruising or swelling near the injection sites. We will discuss the proper aftercare for any of the filler we may use after your treatment. Generally, patients will need to sleep upright for the first night to prevent moving the filler into unwanted areas. Your aftercare instructions will outline the directions so your complexion properly heals. To maintain your results, we will provide information on when to schedule follow-up appointments. The length of your results will vary and depend on the formula type.

How do I prepare for dermal fillers?
Dr. Bali will do an in depth consultation to discuss your medical history and discuss the area’s you are wanting filler injected. After Dr. Bali will go over the area’s that you want filler and also recommend the area’s that benefit you best. Patients are encouraged to avoid taking blood-thinning medications several days beforehand as these increase their risk of bleeding and bruising. There are generally no food or drink restrictions prior to dermal fillers.

Are dermal fillers safe?
